Even though he was born in the 70s, Emek was deeply inspired by the culture and art of the previous decade. Much of what he painted and designed for contemporary bands in the ‘90s was deeply representative of the free-spirited art of the 60s. His unique style struck the perfect middle-ground between the psychedelic images and modern iconography.

He has created posters for a wide variety of performers, including Pearl Jam, the Beastie Boys, Erykah Badu, and Neil Young. His ability to appeal to such a wide variety of music fans has marked him as one of the most creative artists of the modern era.
